Personalized Services for your Home Care Needs
- Personal Services: Assisting the client in the activities of daily living such as:
- Walking and Transfers
- Grooming (observing proper hygiene through the brushing of hair, tooth brushing and flossing, washing of face, etc.)
- Bathing (standby service to complete shower/bath assistance, giving or assisting bed baths and/or sponge baths, assisting or facilitating shampooing of hair and washing of upper and lower limbs)
- Toileting and Incontinence Care
- Personal Care: Assisting the client in carrying out his or her physicians’ directions and/or Care Plan (reminding the client to take his or her required medications and providing assistance therein and assisting and accompanying the client to medical appointments)
- Household Management Services: Preparing the clients’ meals according to their doctors’ orders and/or specific nutritional and dietary guidance, assisting in shopping (groceries and run errands), cleaning the house and doing the laundry, caring for pets
- Transportation: Providing transportation for the client by driving the client’s vehicle to appointments, errands, shopping, and other social purposes
- Companionship: Caregivers from AFFORDABLE HOME CARE can provide friendly and motivational conversations that will help the client attain emotional balance, which could then contribute to his or her overall well-being (intellectual, physical, and social).
- Record Keeping: AFFORDABLE HOME Care keeps records as set out in the Caregiver’s Notebook.
- Nurses: We can also help you engage in the services of a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse who will conduct a comprehensive assessment, a medication review, inject or administer specific medication (as required by your doctor) provide wound care, or assist you in exercises or activities that only licensed nurses may perform.
